Glencoe Grand Prix

Summer Carnival

Sunday, August 10th
The inaugural race attracted more than 325 racers from all over northern Illinois and this year promises to be even bigger. The series of races, which run through beautiful downtown Glencoe, are put on by the Glencoe Educational Foundation, which uses the proceeds from the day to fund its initiatives that assist the educational needs of the students of District 35. The companion Summer Carnival, hosted by the Glencoe Chamber of Commerce, rounds out this fantastic day out for families and racers alike both inside and outside of Glencoe. The Summer Carnival, hosted by the Glencoe Chamber, takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Centerway Court and offers new attractions and great fun for children of all ages with a Moonwalk Castle, Giant Slide, Pop-a-Shot, Speed Pitch, Spinning Pedals and the always popular Dunk Tank.

ANNUAL CHAMBER MEETING
Each year, usually in October, the Chamber holds an annual membership meeting to update the "State of the Chamber"; to vote on new board members and to address any Chamber issues. This evening's program includes a presentation focusing on small business interests, plus networking and socializing.

HALLOWEEN HELLO

This annual Trick or Treat Day in Glencoe is an opportunity for residents and others to visit Glencoe Businesses that they might not usually frequent. It is a beloved community event that promotes the Glencoe Business District.

LIGHT THE LIGHTS/HOLIDAYS IN GLENCOE

Throughout the Holiday Season the Chamber hosts events and provides advertising and entertainment to encourage shopping in Glencoe. This kicks off with Santa helping the Village and Chamber Presidents to light the Holiday Lights on Thanksgiving weekend and continues with music, storytelling and many holiday craft programs throughout the month of December.
